🔗 Nanotechnology: what moves first?

We test whether public interest rises before research output in each of 8 Nanotechnology subtopics. No clear pattern this month; we re-test every week.

How we calculate this: Monthly Wikipedia views of each subtopic's page and monthly research papers, over up to 4 years. We compare changes in year-on-year growth (which removes seasons and slow trends) at leads and lags of up to 6 months, and report a pattern only if it is strong (|r| at least 0.35) and statistically significant after allowing for the number of lags tried.
